Welcome, friend!

My name is Josh Gordon and I'm obsessed with web3. For years now, I've been an investor, collector, and most recently, a creator.

At the start of 2022, I took a role as the Podcast Host for The Unstoppable Podcast. Each week, I interview an entrepreneur, investor, or creator building the future on the blockchain. My goal with the podcast is to educate the crypto native and crypto curious about why web3 has the potential to impact the world.

But I felt like something was missing...

As a creator, I felt overwhelmed by the countless applications being developed for creators to use for content distribution, community building, NFT creation, and more. If I feel that way and I spend everyday researching the space, I know others do to. 

So that leads me to my mission with 1000 True Friends...

This newsletter will be the ultimate guide for web3 creators.

Whats the story behind the name - 1000 True Friends?

This could be a whole newsletter on its own, but the TLDR is that in web3, there is a belief that we can disrupt the creator economy. In web2, creators need to focus on scale (clicks, likes, followers), but in web3, a creator only needs 1000 true fans to enable a sustainable career. I want to put that notion to the test. And I like the idea of sharing my work with my friends much more than fans. We're all trying to learn how to use these web3 primitives and tools together and there's no better teacher than a friend who is one step ahead.
